Start the evening with an idyllic 20 minute ferry ride where you can take in the breath-taking views of Vancouver. Afterwards, enjoy the stunning art while mingling with fellow colleagues and experiencing the unique atmosphere of the Polygon Gallery. The experience includes access to the renowned contemporary artist Jeremy Shaw’s largest exhibition Phase Shifting Index as it makes its North American debut at the gallery!
The night will be complete with entertainment and a cocktail style dinner including canapes and food stations, creating an unforgettable evening of art and culture.

 
  • The IPPA 2023 Organising and Program Committees are committed to delivering a COVID-safe event for delegates, presenters and exhibitors. We recognise the importance of effectively managing risks of COVID transmission at the 2023 congress and recognise that some delegates at the event may be considered particularly vulnerable to COVID. We are working closely with venue and suppliers to ensure we deliver a COVID-safe event for all delegates participating in the IPPA World Congress on Positive Psychology.

    While face masks are no longer mandatory in indoor public spaces, guests are welcome to wear a face mask based on their individual comfort level. We request all attendees do a Rapid Antigen Test before attending and bring a test to use if they start to feel unwell.

    If presenters are unable to attend the 2023 IPPA World Congress due to being unwell or concerns about COVID, we will accommodate colleagues who are attending to present on their behalf.

    The conference will adhere to any government COVID-19 protocols if they were to be reintroduced.

    The event will not be postponed or cancelled, unless the local or national government imposes restrictions on large events.

    Please note that free of charge registration and accommodation cancellations are not available within 35 days of the start of the conference.

  • You can register for the 8th IPPA World Congress on Positive Psychology shortly. This will take you to the Currinda online registration system. If you have attended an ASN Events conference before (such as the 6th IPPA World Congress on Positive Psychology in Melbourne or the 7th IPPA World Congress on Positive Psychology held virtually in 2021), you will need to log in to your profile as a returning delegate with your original email and password.

    If you are registering with Currinda for the first time, you need to register as a new delegate. You will be taken to a page where you can enter your personal details. This will be the only time you will ever need to enter your details for any event run by this software.

    Once you have completed your registration, you will receive a confirmation email, outlining what you have registered for. If you do not receive this email, either your email was entered incorrectly or your registration is not complete. If this happens, please contact the secretariat, please do not re-register.

    You can use your email and password to access your registration at any time to make any necessary changes such as adding additional add-on's, making a payment, downloading your certificate of attendance or your current invoice.

    If you wish to make changes to your registration type after you have registered, please email the details to the secretariat - do not re-register.

  • Student membership in IPPA is for those enrolled full-time in a degree granting, accredited university. Verification of enrolment will be required.

  • If you are a group manager arranging registrations for delegates within your organisation, please click here to view registration instructions.

    If you are arranging the payment of registrations for delegates outside of your organisation, please contact the conference secretariat with the following details:

    • Name of sponsored delegate(s)

    • Items and amounts to be covered as part of the sponsorship

    • Name of conference

    If you require a separate invoice for sponsored delegates and staff members, please contact the conference secretariat.

  • A secure site is provided for online payment of your charges. This has its own section on the ‘dashboard’. The payment options are:

    • Credit card: Visa or MasterCard (surcharge of 4% applicable). American Express not accepted.

    • Cheque (either personal or from your institute)

    • Direct debit (you will be emailed banking instructions upon application) An Australian Tax Invoice will be provided for all registrants once registered. You can reprint this and your receipt from your ‘dashboard’ at any time.

    The ABN for the conference is 90 093 246 176. All rates quoted are in USD. GST is not applicable.

    All online registrations are checked by the secretariat. If there is any query they will contact you. If you wish to make changes or additions after you have registered, return to your ‘dashboard’. The ‘dashboard’ also keeps a record of any abstract you have submitted.

    ASN Events supports responsible use of on-line credit card transactions and reports suspected fraudulent activity to Federal police and the Immigration office.

  • Once you have registered and paid in full for the Congress, you will be able to download your Official Visa Letter. from your dashboard.

  • Standard registration cancellations will incur a cancellation fee of USD 100.00 if made in writing up to 35 days prior to the beginning of the conference. No refund is payable after that date, however registrations may be transferred to substitute delegates without incurring a fee.

  • We understand sometimes it’s not possible to attend the full Congress program. We offer a single day registration option, which can be purchased to attend any of the main Congress days. For those wanting to attend 2 days, it is more cost effective to purchase a full registration, particularly if you are an IPPA Member or wanting to join as an IPPA Member.

  • Post-Congress workshops run in addition to the main Congress program and due to the popular nature of the workshops, as well as their limited capacity, they are only available as an additional add-on to be purchased by those who also have a registration for the main Congress.

  • No. Access to Post-Congress workshops are an additional charge and not included in your Congress registration. If you have purchased a 1 day registration type, this grants access to the main Congress program day of your choice, and cannot be used on the Sunday to access any additional Post- Congress workshops you have also purchased tickets to attend. You will however, only be able to access main Congress program content for the day nominated on your 1 day Congress registration.

  • Only morning or afternoon tea is provided during each ½ day Post-Congress workshop to those who have registered and paid for a workshop registration. If you have purchased a morning and afternoon Post-Congress workshop, please make your own arrangements for lunch, as no lunch catering is provided.

  • No problem, please contact the Congress Secretariat to cancel your workshop ticket(s). If you cancel in writing more than 30 days before the start of the Congress, a full refund of your additional workshop ticket(s) will be made back to your original method of payment. If your cancellation is within 30 days, you are not eligible for a refund unless we’re able to resell your ticket to another delegate on a waitlist.

  • You’re able to log back in to your registration profile at any stage to cross-check your registration details. To log back in please visit the registration portal and enter your details as a ‘returning delegate’ using your email address you used to register with, along with your password created at time of registering.

  • The registration system is linked directly to your IPPA Membership profile, so please ensure you are using the same email address to create your Congress registration. To check your membership status or renew your IPPA Membership please log in to your IPPA Profile here. If you have recently renewed your membership, please allow 5-7 working days for this to be processed and updated.
