  • Award winning, chef-driven catering - with canape, food station and beverage menus purposefully crafted around the art of dining well.

  • A breathtaking venue, with spaces created to challenge how we see the world. Located on the waterfront in North Vancouver, with stunning views of the water and cityscape.

  • Private access to Jeremy Shaw’s Phase Shifting Index, an extraordinary immersive video, sound and light installation centering on ritual, embodiment and transcendent experience.

  • Private access to Abraham O. Oghobase’s Life of Mine, an exhibition that studies the mechanisms of colonial exploitation in ways that are subversive, imaginative, and liberatory.

  • A musical cabaret of professional artists from our own IPPA community sharing their gifts for our collective entertainment.

  • The opportunity to take the quintessential Vancouverite experience of taking the short SeaBus passenger ferry journey across the Burrard Inlet - connecting Downtown Vancouver to North Vancouver.

Are you a professional musician who is planning to attend the IPPA World Congress in July?

If so, submit by June 25th for a unique opportunity to share your musical talents, perform, and build community during IPPA's World Congress Gala Dinner on Friday 21 July, 2023!

As we collect in community and celebrate our first in-person congress since 2019, there will be 45 minutes of curated music to highlight professional artists in our community and entertain guests during IPPA's World Congress Gala Dinner on Friday, July 21, 2023! During this time, we hope to use music to inspire guests and cultivate a sense of community and belonging.

  • We plan to have a weighted keyboard, microphone, and small sound system at the venue for this purpose.

  • All performances should be a maximum of 5 minutes in length.

  • We expect there to be a limited opportunity for a tech check and a cue to cue, so all performers need to be prepared to perform on-site without rehearsal.

If you'd like to share your musical talents during this unforgettable evening of arts and culture, please use this Google Form to submit:

  1. a 1-minute video clip of you performing a portion the musical contribution you'd like to share and

  2. a written statement (250 words or less) that shares why you'd like to participate in this unique opportunity.

The review committee will curate a set list that aims for the intersection of high-quality professional performance while cultivating a sense of belonging.

Submissions are due by the end of the day Sunday, 25 June 2023.

Due to time constraints during the event, we regret that we will not be able to accept every submission. Everyone who submits by the deadline can expect to receive an email regarding your submission by the end of June.

Thank you again for your interest in supporting our community in this way!
