What are the implications of genetically informative research for wellbeing prevention and interventions strategies?

Ragnhild Bang Nes, Psychologist, PhD works as the lead on Quality of Life (QoL) research at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health where QoL now is a strategic priority. She is also heading intervention research at the Promenta Research Center, University of Oslo.  Her research includes investigation of QoL/wellbeing, mental health, personality, resilience, caregiving, and genetic and environmental influences. Ragnhild is particularly interested in the interplay between causal influences unfolding over time and how to facilitate good health and QoL in individuals and populations. She is highly engaged in translation of scientific knowledge into applicable utility, collaborates closely with governmental agencies, county councils, policymakers, politicians, and NGOs in Norway and abroad, and is currently part of the work group to develop a National Norwegian Wellbeing Strategy to be launched in 2023-24.
